Work is set to begin on an exciting development at Olsen House School in Crosby over the Easter holidays. The redevelopment, refurbishment, and extension of the school will allow us to welcome up to 15 additional new students as well as six members of staff and help us meet a growing demand for the school’s specialist support.

Part of these plans involves the demolition and removal of an existing pre-fabricated building in the playground of the school.

The plans will allow the school, which supports children and young people with autism, social, emotional and mental health difficulties, to improve and extend facilities including building a new kitchen and dining area and refurbish and extend the school environment. The removal of the temporary building is expected to be completed by the end of the Easter holidays.

Headteacher Alison Ford said 'There is a growing demand for Olsen House's specialist provision. The redevelopment will allow us to provide for more young people, offering them the opportunity to engage in education and thrive.'
