Uniform expectations
Blazers
Blazers must be black tailored with school badge on left breast pocket.
Blazers must be worn whilst walking between lessons.
Blazers may be removed during lessons or social times.
Depending on weather conditions blazers may be hung up on student’s peg during the day.
Trousers & Skirts
Trousers should be black tailored school trousers.
Skirts should be black tailored school skirt (knee length). Tights and socks must be black if worn with skirt.
Jeans or leggings must not be worn.
School Ties
Ties should show 7 blue stripes when tied.
Ties may be removed upon staff request during practical lessons.
Clip on ties are available.
Shirts & Blouses
Shirts or blouses must be white, plain and tailored.
Shirts may be short sleeved or long sleeved.
Shirts must be tucked in.
Shirt sleeves must not be rolled up.
Students may wear a plain white t-shirt or vest underneath their shirt if needed.
Jumpers & Cardigans
If worn, cardigans or jumpers should be black and plain v-neck worn over their shirt underneath their blazer.
Shoes
Shoes must be black school shoes that cover the toes or trainers that are completely black if preferred.
Further Information
Extremes of hair styles including unnatural colours or shaved patterns are not permitted. The Head teacher’s advice should be sought for clarification if needed.
Long hair must be tied back for all practical lessons.
If worn, make-up should be minimal and natural.
Nail varnish is not permitted. Acrylic and gel nails are not permitted due to safety reasons.
Jewellery is not permitted except for a watch and one pair of small stud earrings.
Religious headscarves/ turbans should be plain black or white.
