Pupils at the Arc School Ansley in Warwickshire have been celebrating their recent exam results.
The school saw each of its leaving students move on to further education, training or employment with a formal qualification in maths and English as well as a range of other academic, functional or vocational qualifications.
Across the school students achieved 59 qualifications, including GCSE and Functional Skills in subjects including Maths, English, Science, ICT and Statistics. Each student achieved on average more than 7 qualifications each. Other subjects included Design and Technology, Home Cooking Skills and PE. A young person at the school also received a vocational qualification from a college placement in construction.
Their achievements have helped them secure places at college to study varying topics including animal care, catering, motor mechanics and art.
Headteacher Simon Goddard said: "Each year our students make us incredibly proud and this year is no exception. The children work so hard to achieve results across a wide range of subjects, showing great determination and resilience.
“Their wonderful achievements will allow them to move on successfully to their next step in life whether that is in a further education placement at college, into an apprenticeship or other employment or into training.
“Our role as a school is to work with children as individuals and to nurture their abilities in a way that suits their needs and to give them the best possible chances at success. The curriculum is not just GCSEs, there are a raft of other diverse qualifications available and the students have fully embraced those.”
