Staff at Olsen House

The staff team at Olsen House have an excellent track record of working successfully with young people on the spectrum.

The school has specialised subject staff who teach subjects which include English, maths, science, cookery, IT and PHSE.  Pupils have access to therapeutic support which includes speech and language therapy, occupational therapy and educational psychology. Olsen House also offers Lego therapy which helps develop social and interaction skills through a highly structured small activity group.

Olsen House School has an independent careers advisor to work with our pupils on planning for the future and moving into the next step of education, employment or training.  There is a school nurse and the school works in partnership with the NHS sex and relationship advisory team. The staff work hard to create the school’s unique pastoral care system where every pupil is valued and cared for.
