‘Dream, Believe, Achieve’

Our Vision Is Our Mission

We exist to help form the citizens of the future; people who will live a rich life and make a positive difference to their families, communities, and society.

What we do is important and so our aspirations and expectations are high. We aim to deliver a curriculum that is inspirational, relevant, and personalised. We will develop the skills and knowledge to help our pupils become adaptable, resilient, and productive members of society; confident in their ability to achieve their potential. Their past is not deterministic, and our ambition for them will be limitless.

Acting collaboratively and with compassion and consistency, we will build a community based on trust and respect. Bound together with bonds forged from powerful relationships, we will act with determination and will not let fear prevent us from taking an opportunity. Inclusive and tolerant, we will nurture an appreciation of the wonderful diversity in our school and the wider world. Everyone who crosses our threshold is welcome and they will leave feeling enriched.

Our Values

We derive our values from the principles of integrity, courage, strong relationships, compassion, and accountability.

Tolerance

Our expectations of each other are high, but we recognise that behaviours of concern are usually rooted in adversity. We will help modify these behaviours, whilst having unreserved regard for the people who may present with them.

Empathy

We care for all the members of our community and try to understand their perspective. We act with consideration of our pupils, using a nurturing approach to meet their individual needs.

Responsibility

We are responsible for the safety, wellbeing, education, and future of our pupils. Nothing could be more important, and we recognise our responsibility to work hard and succeed. We help young people to understand that they are responsible for their own actions and the consequences of them.

Inclusivity

Everybody matters, all the time. Diversity will be cherished in our community and everybody’s value will be recognised and celebrated.

Personalisation

Our community is a collection of individuals, and we recognise that a single approach cannot work for all. We have an excellent understanding of our young people and develop tailored programmes relevant to their individual needs and interests. We adapt our learning environment and our curriculum to allow young people to feel safe, secure and enable them to progress

Resilience

We will all experience failure in life. We will learn to recognise that failure is a useful learning experience and will be unafraid of trying again. We will never give up.
