Staff and young people from Wings Notts School attended an anti-bullying day as part of The Diana Award programme. This is the second year that young people from Wings have attended the event.
The last cohort of Wings young people who attended the training day have been raising awareness of bullying and how young people can be supported.
The young people engaged extremely well and should be proud of all of their hard work. The day involved presentations and working through materials provided by the programme.
After completing the training day, the young people will be anti-bullying ambassadors for the school. They will be working as a team to raise awareness of bullying and ensure that other young people know that there is support available for them. The group planning their next meeting on the 14th March to discuss plans for a ‘Feel Good Friday’ event.
This group will strive to eliminate bullying from the school by holding events and giving the young people a voice about bullying.
