Young people at Wings Notts have been keeping busy over the bank holiday. Some of them went to Calypso Cove Waterpark, an indoor water park. They had a great time sliding, splashing and laughing their way through the day.
The young people in Swift House asked to have a night to build positive relationships within the house. They decided to watch a film together before watching Britain’s Got Talent. They rounded the evening off by having a 'cakeaway' (all tasty treats can be delivered these days ). The young people really like doing activities within their houses with staff.
A group of young people went to Santa Pod Raceway in Northamptonshire, to see the Springspeed National event. Santa Pod is the home of drag racing in the UK. Cars compete over a quarter mile straight track to see who can get the fastest time. Our young people got to see the cars up close as they raced to get the best time.
Hawk House went on a house trip to Flamingo Land. There was screaming on roller coasters and lots of exotic animals to see. It was a great day and enjoyed by all. They are planning their next trip.
In between the days out our young people have been staying active by having a football match every day. The games encourage them to develop their skills and they also played other games to improve their dribbling and scoring skills. There is nothing like a bit of competition and all the games were close. Football is an excellent way for the young people to bond and work together to win.
