We are currently recruiting for an Office Manager to work in our Arc School Ansley. Arc School Ansley, part of Kedleston Group is an independent special school for children with Autism with associated special educational needs and communication difficulties. The Office Manager will provide comprehensive administrative support for the Headteacher and the school, including HR and support the referral process for prospective pupils.

Key roles and responsibilities:

  • To be proactive in the coordination of referrals and placements of children and young people into Arc School Ansley
  • In conjunction with relevant colleagues, to actively work to ensure that the school achieves its occupancy objectives
  • Accurately input information concerning children and young people, customers and competitors onto a central database.
  • Participate in weekly company-wide occupancy calls with the Head Teacher.
  • Ensure that the referrals and placements database is maintained and updated as required
  • Liaise with Local Authorities in respect of new placements ensuring that all necessary paperwork is provided to the LA as well as previous educational histories and other supporting reports are obtained from the LA's to ensure a smooth transition into the school for the young person
  • To help develop new and maintain existing LA relationships
  • To support the work of the Head of Strategic Partnerships and Group Marketing Manager
  • Report on referrals and occupancy as and when required
  • In conjunction with the company's sales and marketing function, assist in the 'soft marketing' of information from the school to personnel in Local Authorities and parents and· carers

 

It is essential that the Office Manager has recent experience within an education setting and an understanding of how Local Authority commissioning works for pupils with Autism in the independent sector would be an advantage.
