Kedleston Group Limited are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and determined ‘Registered Manager’ for our 4-bed children’s home based in Colchester, Essex. The home looks after children with a range of needs including behavioural, emotional and social difficulties.

As a Registered Manager, not only is your duty of care to the children, but also to the team working within the home. We understand that sometimes working in a children’s home can be tough. Being able to inspire, communicate, stay calm under pressure and stay positive is key in ensuring your team is working effectively. This opportunity will see you leading your own team of up to 10 staff members.

The salary for this full time position, working on average 40 hours per week, is paying up to £40,000 per annum (depending on experience). An immediate start date is available.

As a ‘Registered Manager’ you will need to demonstrate a high level of empathy whilst also guaranteeing the level of care is maintained at the very best standard.


  • Level 5 Leadership and Management (or willing to work towards award)
  • Level 3 Children and Young People
  • Recent experience working in a senior position of relevant, residential care of children with EBD and SEMH needs
  • Demonstrable  experience of team leadership, management of staff and supervisions.
  • Knowledge of current relevant legislation and guidelines
