Work with us long

A seven-year-old girl with terminal spinal cancer has started a campaign to decorate and hide stones.

Isla Tansey, from Hinckley, Leicestershire, has asked people to get involved and says anyone who finds one should take a selfie and post it on social media using #islastones.

Her parents, Simon and Katherine Tansey, said they hoped the stones will create a "legacy" for their daughter.

Many of the students (and staff!) at the Arc School Old Arley have wanted to decorate stones for Isla to show their support, which they have either taken home or hidden during school off site visits.

One Y7 student was particularly excited to find an #islastone while out on a trip – he brought it back to school and hid it near the school gate!

At the last count, #islastones have been placed and found in 82 countries worldwide.

Dont they look great.
