The staff and students at High Peak school, organised and prearranged a successful coffee morning. Of which, all money raised will go to Macmillan. Both, staff and students baked, and supplied delicious homemade cakes. In particular, two students from year 12 and year 11 helped to organise the event; decorated the dining room and helped to serve others. Doing this, has enabled the students to expand their work experience and to develop their knowledge towards their PSHE award.
On the run up to this event, staff ensured that all students are aware of what the Macmillan charity is, and how they help and guide others. With this knowledge, the students had the opportunity to enter a competition by decorating their own Macmillan coffee morning invitation (Pics attached).
Due to this, many students and staff were extremely generous, resulting in some of our students offering money out of their ‘be fair’ money.
The amount raised is yet to be calculated!
