Today is World Food Day.
World Food Day commemorates the founding of the Food and Agriculture Organization in 1945. Events are organized in over 150 countries across the world, making it one of the most celebrated days of the UN calendar. These events promote worldwide awareness and action for those who suffer from hunger and for the need to ensure food security and nutritious diets for all.
It’s also a day to celebrate the progress that has already made towards reaching #ZeroHunger.
The staff and young people are getting on board at High Peak School in support – there has been a special assembly looking at ways of saving food across the world and one young person has made this beautiful poster.
