The pupils, from Leaways School London, achieved qualifications including GCSE and Functional Skills in subjects including Maths and English as well as BTECs. 100% of leavers will go on to further education, employment or training.
Leaways, a day school in Clapton, East London, provides education and care for children with social, emotional and mental health difficulties. Across the school students achieved an average of more than three qualifications each, an achievement which cannot be underestimated.
Head Teacher, Dawn Jones said: "Sitting an exam can be daunting for any student, but for young people who may have other difficulties it can be even more challenging. The young people who sat exams here at Leaways have achieved a great deal and we couldn’t be more proud.
“The students should be extremely proud of themselves. These qualifications are a part of preparing for their futures, helping them gain the skills they need to help them succeed and they have all done extremely well.”
The school is part of the Kedleston Group which has a range of residential and day schools across the UK. Across the company’s seven secondary schools, pupils achieved a range of qualifications with more than 320 separate achievements recorded for students across more than 40 different qualifications on offer.
