Students from Leaways School London have been learning new skills on a vocational course they are undertaking.
The pupils had previously shown an interest in cars and motorbikes and have been attending a vocational course in motor mechanics.
The course gives them hands-on experience of what it is like to work in a motorbike or car garage as well as giving them a strong foundational understanding of the components involved.
The students have loved getting their hands dirty and are considering now how they can get paid for doing something they enjoy. Many of the students have particularly excelled within this more practical learning environment and are forming strong ideas for their future.
Undertaking the course has revealed skill sets and potential as well as increased students' confidence, competence, social skills, awareness of the work environment. The trainers said many of the students have been "reliable, enthusiastic and determined to achieve their qualifications."
