Olsen House School is situated in Liverpool and registered with Ofsted for boys and girls, aged seven to 16 years, who are struggling with social, emotional & behavioural problems with or without mental health difficulties. The school can support up to 40 children and young people with various educational and social needs, some of which are associated with the challenges of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, attachment disorder, autism, moderate and specific learning difficulties.
Bluebird ASC Provision at Olsen House School
The school’s “Bluebird” unit, named by a current pupil, is a specialist ASC-friendly provision. Decorated throughout with calm, low arousal colours, the new ASC provision offers the latest sensory-friendly changeable lighting in order to create an autism-friendly learning environment. Areas within the unit have been developed to support the different learning styles and sensory needs of the individual pupils.
