The school promotes the good health and well-being of all young people throughout their stay and ensures each person’s physical, emotional and mental health needs are met at all times. Young people are provided with guidance, advice and support on health and personal care issues. As part of the admission process, the school nurse and staff work in partnership with parents and others to ensure that every young person is registered with a local GP, dentist and optician and that arrangements are made for necessary visits. The school can provide additional psychological support for children and young people who have been identified as those who would benefit from it. The clinical team work proactively with the young people, in consultation with the local Looked-After and CAMHS Teams. We employ a full time Clinical Psychologist and are able to source sessional input from a local CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrist where required.
