The school provides a broad curriculum which includes National Curriculum subjects such as maths, English, science, PSE, History, RE, geography, design technology, art, food technology, physical education, ICT, land based studies photography and music.
In addition to formal timetabled lessons Key Stage 4 children and young people are provided with careers and college guidance, social and economic skills and work experience to prepare them for adult life. We work in partnership with transition teams and local authorities to provide a planned transition to life and work after school for all young people.
Almost all of the children and young people will take GCSEs and other formal qualifications. However, some young people complement these qualifications with courses accessed through local colleges. Each young person who leaves our school does so with meaningful qualifications to ensure they take positive steps to post-16 education.
