About the role: 

We are currently seeking to appoint a talented and inspirational Deputy Headteacher to embark on a fantastic journey to join a fully refurbished site with state-of-the-arts facilities. The school is the heart of Northwest London and will provide high quality education for 54 pupils with ASC. It is an amazing opportunity to put your “stamp” on a newly opened site, hire our own team and grown within the school and the Kedleston family.   

This is a key role within our Senior Leadership Team at Mapesbury School; a fantastic opportunity for someone with drive, enthusiasm and high aspirations to work in partnership with the Headteacher and other leaders to make a real difference to our school and young people. You will lead by example and inspire and develop others, building on our many successes and driving forward school improvement.

About you: 

We are looking for a qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS) who, ideally, has experience of working within a SEN setting, a passion for supporting young people to learn and develop, but more importantly, someone who wants to make a difference to the lives and education of our children and young people. We would love to hear from you if you are committed, empathetic, compassionate, resourceful and your standards are high! 

We are seeking to appoint an ambitious and engaging Deputy Headteacher; someone who can help shape and deliver a shared vision for the future and who will take an effective lead on behaviour and attendance ensuring an inclusive environment where no pupil is left behind and all pupils have the support and challenge to be the best they can be. You will support the SLT to develop and support behaviour and attendance provision as well as manage effective inclusion of all pupils across the school. 

You must be able to:

Mapesbury School, part of Kedleston Group Limited, is an independent specialist day school in London for 54 children and young people aged between the ages of 7 and 17 and who have Autism (ASC) and other specific learning difficulties.
