We are seeking an organised, proactive, and friendly School Office Manager to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative and communication skills, as well as a passion for supporting a positive school environment.

You will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the school office, overseeing administrative, financial, and organisational processes, while maintaining confidentiality. The role includes line managing staff, ensuring smooth office functions, and assisting in the planning of support services.

Key Duties:

  • Organisation: Oversee school office operations, assist with event and trip planning, manage visitor entry and safety, and support staff in maintaining a professional office environment.
  • Leadership: Line manage staff, conduct performance reviews, train and develop staff, and promote the school's vision and values in all decisions.
  • Administration: Manage records, prepare reports, support the governing board and staff, handle communication (emails, forms, post), and manage attendance records.
  • Resource Management: Order supplies, manage IT and financial systems, assist with budgeting, procurement, and marketing, and ensure proper management of school contracts, licences, and insurance.
  • Compliance: Oversee recruitment administration, ensure data protection compliance, and safeguard children's welfare according to school policies.

The role involves additional duties as assigned by the headteacher, contributing to a well-managed, efficient school office environment.

About us:

Arc School Napton, part of Kedleston Group, is an independent specialist primary school in Napton, for children and young people aged between the ages of 5 and 11. We provide a safe learning environment for children and young people with educational and social needs which are associated with the challenges of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), attachment disorder (AD), autism (ASC), dyslexia and dyspraxia. Some children have social emotional and mental health needs. (SEMH).
