Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Psychotherapist to join our school on a part time basis.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our pupils, developing tailored care plans, and utilising effective communication skills to foster a supportive therapeutic environment. This role requires proficiency in IT systems for documentation.

Please note this role is 1 day per week, maternity cover for approximately 9 months, starting August 2025.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments of pupils' mental health needs and develop comprehensive care plans.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records using IT systems, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and support for our pupils.
  • Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with best practices in psychotherapy.

Experience

  • A recognised qualification in psychotherapy or counselling is essential.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable, demonstrating the ability to communicate effectively with pupils from diverse backgrounds.
  • Familiarity with developing care plans and utilising IT systems is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and a commitment to promoting mental well-being are crucial for success in this position.
