About the roles:

As Team Leader at our Children’s home in Staines, you will be an integral part of our team who put the children and young people at the heart of everything we do. You will ensure a high standard of care and support is available to each child when on duty and that all child care practices in place meet the requirements of current legislation and the expectations of the inspecting regulatory bodies. You will be taking a full and active role in the induction, supervision, training and appraisal of the care staff which you hold responsibility for, and in particular working with other senior staff in promoting safe practices in positive handling, you will ensure all the medical needs of the children are catered for and routine appointments and check-ups are maintained and, on occasion, you will provide cover for the role of Deputy Homes Manager under the direction of the Management team.

About you:

For this role, we are looking for someone who has experience of working within a children’s home setting, is passionate about supporting young people and holds a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent. About us:                                   

Millstream Lodge, part of Kedleston Group Limited, is an independent children’s home in Staines, for children and young people aged between the ages of 9 and 17 who may have experienced social, emotional and mental health needs. We provide a nurturing home led by highly-experienced managers and with a strong, vibrant team, each of whom bring their own specialisms, including sport, mental health and outdoor activities.

We look for people to join our staff team who have the creativity and enthusiasm needed to deliver the best outcomes for the children and young people.

The successful candidate is required to provide references and will be expected to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
