Chinese New Year, also called Lunar New Year, is an annual 15-day festival in China and Chinese communities around the world that begins with the new moon that occurs sometime between January the 21st and February the 20th (according to Western calendars). Festivities last until the following full moon. This year, is the year of the Rabbit.
Children at the school decorated the dining hall and they had a Chinese banquet cooked by the school chef with some of the children even helping to cook.
Everyone had a great time at the celebration and they all particularly enjoyed finding out what year they were born and which animal that links in with.
Sounds great!
