Hawley Woods School Brings Stories to Life for World Book Day
World Book Day at Hawley Woods School was a truly magical celebration of reading, creativity, and community spirit! Students and staff alike embraced the fun by dressing up as their favorite book characters, filling the school with an array of colorful and imaginative costumes.
A highlight of the day was welcoming our special guests from the care home next door. It was heartwarming to see generations come together, sharing stories, laughter, and a love for books. Students read aloud to their visitors, sparking wonderful conversations and reminiscing about favorite childhood tales.
From classic storybook heroes to modern literary icons, the effort and enthusiasm from everyone made the day extra special. The joy of reading was truly brought to life, and the connections made with our neighbors made it all the more meaningful.
Thank you to everyone who took part – we can’t wait for next year’s adventure into the world of books!
