We caught up with Jane Green, Speech and Language Therapist at our High Peak School in Cheshire East to find out about her experience and expertise.
Her journey into the field of Speech and Language Therapy began at Manchester University, where she underwent comprehensive training. Over the course of more than 30 years, Jane has dedicated her work within the NHS, predominantly working in school environments. Notably, for the past decade, she has brought her expertise to the Youth Justice Sector, a testament to her commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of young individuals.
Armed with a master’s in clinical research from Sheffield University, Jane's academic pursuits highlight her dedication to advancing her knowledge in the field. Additionally, she completed a Graduate Skills in Counselling course at Salford University, demonstrating her holistic approach to therapy and a keen understanding of the emotional well-being of her clients.
High Peak School marks a new chapter in Jane's career, and she expressed her excitement about being part of the school community. The school's fabulous location and impressive facilities provide an ideal setting for her to continue making a difference. Jane looks forward to establishing meaningful relationships with the school's staff, pupils, and their parents or carers.
One of Jane's key goals at High Peak School is to integrate evidence-based practices into the fabric of Speech and Language Therapy. She envisions the therapy not confined to a designated room but woven into the entire school experience. By doing so, Jane aims to foster an environment where speech and language support becomes integral to the students' holistic development.
She lives in Buxton with her family and in her spare time enjoys walking her dog Arlo and dancing.
Welcome to High Peak School and Kedleston Jane!
