The team at High Peak School work hard to ensure positive outcomes for all their children and young people, with fantastic results. We have received some feedback this week from a parent which highlights how wonderful a job everyone does.

“I’d like to thank you all for your support in getting my son to this stage, the leap from being driven everywhere, going out of his comfort zone without support by his side hasn’t been an easy journey and is something his dad and I have tried for the last few years with very little success. 

Going to college and the first steps to independent travel has been down to the amazing support he’s always had from High Peak School not just Post 16 but right back from when he first started there. 

Our hopes and dreams of him being fully independent in adult life are beginning to take shape, it’s a huge leap from being advised to look at residential settings for him, which is where we were before High Peak School opened and took a chance on him and us as a family. 

I know that this successful start to college life wouldn’t have been possible if the staff from High Peak School had not been at his side during the initial transition. With your continued support and backing our son has felt confident enough to embrace college and the new challenges facing him.” - Parent
