The Kedleston Group offers both new and existing staff specialist training in addition to the induction and mandatory training which all staff complete. All professional staff working directly with the children and young people are trained in challenging behaviour, positive behaviour management, and Team-Teach.
10 members of staff from the Kedleston Group, including managers from the Care Settings and some from the Corporate Support Team have just completed a 3-day ‘Train the Trainer’ course.
Training is an important part of any role and sector and requires skilled, competent and professional people to be able to be able to successfully plan and deliver a course of learning. This Ringway training course provides people who have the desire and interest in training adults, with the skills and knowledge required to successfully plan, deliver and assess training courses which are relevant to their own sector.
The course was run by Mark Mallander from Ringway Training, who he is very knowledgeable about the Care sector and the high expectations around training within this field.
The course has successfully equipped the delegates with the tools they require to effectively deliver training to a wider staff body, which will in turn help everyone in the Kedleston Group to continue to provide high levels of support and care to its young people.
It really was a fantastic course and everyone has taken away a lot from it.
