The children and staff were all invited to Dress for Digits in aid of NSPCC and wear their favourite numbers.
There were lots of fun activities throughout the day, all dedicated to the numbers theme.
Each class had their own maths treasure hunt around the school. Maths clues were hidden in the corridors, the maths classroom, and even on the ceiling. Pupils had to use their maths skills to solve the clues and move onto the next card. All the pupils were thoroughly engaged and had a brilliant time.
The pupils also had the opportunity to get creative and design their own number themed t-shirts. As a prize, the top 2 t-shirt designs will have their t-shirt professionally printed for them. We have had some fantastic designs!
During DEAR, we also had a maths scavenger hunt. Children were asked to find lots of different maths related items, such as percentages, fractions, and prices in newspapers. Everyone got stuck in, and we got some unique and brilliant answers.
The pupils also helped to bake some yummy cookies, and croissants during their rewards time, as well as a selection of brownies, lemon cake, and cupcakes all to sell throughout the school and they were able to raise a fantastic £58.35.
Great work everyone.
