As we reach the ‘one week’ to go point to getting the keys and moving into our fantastic new state of the art, holistic specialist school for children with autism and SEMH needs we would like to introduce you to Laura.....
Laura is one of the amazing Mill School Bury Education Health Care Leaders and she specialises in music, movement and all things dance!
Dance enables young people to feel inspired, motivated and to come of their shell and express themselves through movement, emotion and music. It also brings everyone together to have a lot of fun!
Laura has a wealth of experience working with children and young people, specialising in supporting those with additional social, emotional and mental health needs. She began working in education as a qualified English Teacher and Exam Lead however has always had a passion for movement, in particular street dance. She has taken 5 street dance teams to compete at a national level, even leading a group to become national champions. We are so lucky to have her working at school and cannot wait to see her at work with the children, she may even get all the staff dancing too!
Laura is looking forward to meeting the parents, children and working in partnership to ensure we provide the best possible outcomes.
While we still have some finishing touches to sort before we welcome in our first children and young people to the school, we are taking referrals now so please do get in touch to find out more about Mill School Bury!
