Kieran* is thriving at Wood Grove, where the benefits of having a long-term and settled placement for him are clear to see.
With a diagnosis of autism and ADHD, Kieran had previously struggled with behaviours which he found challenging. However, with strong and positive relationships with the staff team and clear and consistent boundaries, he has thrived both at home and at school.
Having already gained an IT qualification while at school (where he had a 100% attendance record), he is predicted to gain more qualifications at school. He independently travels, attends a youth club that he loves and also has a part-time volunteer job at a local café.
The team at Wood Grove have particularly focused on supporting Kieran with his skills for independent living. Kieran particularly thrives on having a strong routine, something which the team, along with being in a small and homely environment with a small number of peers, have been able to facilitate more easily.
With personalised and consistent support and care, Kieran is feeling settled while being very active in gaining new skills and preparing for a positive future.
