This is a really challenging time for all of us right now, so let’s focus on something positive to start the day.
We checked in with a parent from our High Peak School in Cheshire to see how their daughter was getting on, and here’s what they had to say.....
“I am so thrilled my daughter went swimming in the school swimming pool; it has been forever since she last went. It is great to hear she listened and managed to wait until her time slot. This is huge progress for her.
The days are so diverse for her at High Peak, she has already done so much! We are all really proud of the efforts the school are making and the dedication she is demonstrating.
To think this little girl had a breakdown in May 2020 and now she is engaged, keen and taking a taxi for over an hour by herself....wow. Previously it was a battle to get her into school uniform, now she is at the front door ready to leave by 7.50am. We can't wait to see the progression over the next year. This is a really positive surprise for all of us. Of course, there will be ups and downs, but overall so far this is great.
Thank you High Peak School!”

Well done to the team at the school for some amazing work with this young person and her family.
