Here at Kedleston, we are proud to host an annual safeguarding conference which brings our safeguarding professionals together from across the Group to discuss key safeguarding issues which are becoming prevalent.
The aim of the conference is also to proactively plan to incorporate systems, processes and put bespoke training in place to meet safeguarding needs before any serious issues occur.
The professionals also share safeguarding trends and patterns from across the Group as well as presenting feedback from our colleagues about what is going well and what we can do to further improve.
Safeguarding remains a huge priority for Kedleston and we didn’t want to miss out on the opportunity to bring our colleagues together, even if we had to run a virtual event this year. So that’s exactly what we did. The virtual event was a huge success and the outcomes and findings will continue to benefit the welfare and wellbeing of the children and staff across our specialist schools and homes.
Each delegate was even sent a care package containing some sweet treats and a personalised message to share some positivity and unity for still being based at home!
Fantastic work.
