In a heart-warming initiative, our Arc School Old Arley took matters into their own hands to support the community and those in need. Led by an enthusiastic group of students, the project involved creating donut-styled t-shirts and organising a donut sale, along with various activities and a raffle.
The students' efforts not only brought smiles to their peers and staff but also managed to raise an impressive £86.50 through t-shirt and donut sales. The funds will be donated to the local foodbank, which plays a crucial role in supporting vulnerable individuals and families.
To make their fundraising efforts even more impactful, the project collaborated with a nearby local shop that generously matched their donut purchases, effectively doubling their sales for free.
Hazel Wills, the project leader, commented, "We are thrilled with the outcome of the sale and grateful for the local shop's generosity. It was a wonderful experience bringing everyone together for a common cause and supporting the foodbank's vital work."
Well done everyone!
