The children and young people at our Arc School Old Arley wanted to express how they were all feeling about the situation in Ukraine by creating a special piece of artwork together.
The photography project involved taking photos of everyone’s hands in a heart shape, to best communicate their messages of love and kindness to all those suffering.
The final piece has been created in the colours of the Ukrainian flag and is displayed in the school as a reminder to everyone to share their thoughts and well-wishes.
Well done everyone, it looks great.
Arc School Old Arley is an independent specialist day school situated within a rural village near Nuneaton, Warwickshire.
The school has a strong focus on helping children to develop their emotional wellbeing, trust-based relationships and resilience. The Sanctuary and other safe places in the school help children to work through their emotions and stay in school, even when that has been challenging for them in the past.
Vulnerable young people, who may have experienced bullying, abuse or trauma, and who may feel anxious or even fearful of school, thrive at Arc School Old Arley.
