The young people at our Wood Grove home have decided to donate their Christmas stocking money. To expand the young people’s views and understanding of the meaning of Christmas this year, the team at Wood Grove are exploring the idea of giving as well as receiving gifts.

They will all reflect about how Christmas can be a difficult time for some and explore different views about Christmas, encouraging the young people to join in and support the wider community.

Staff will work with everyone to identify preferences on charities that they would like to donate their money to. Alongside the monetary donation some of the young people have also already identified clothes, toys and books that they can donate to relevant causes.
