The team at Brookways know the importance of working hard and being kind and they instil this ethos throughout the work they do with the children every single day. At the end of each academic year the children are rewarded for working towards those two important goals: working hard and being kind.
On Thursday the Cavendish class were rewarded with going climbing at White Spider in Tolworth following a year of brilliant hard work. For many it was their first time climbing, and they all had a blast! They did a mix of top rope climbing and bouldering, with every student giving both their best effort. The trip ended with a few painful stretches, but lots of questions about when they can go again!
Brookways school offers a calm, quiet, low arousal, safe, positive and nurturing place where young people can learn and grow.
The team are experienced at working with young people who have been out of education for a period of time, or who have become school phobic. They pride themselves on the support they give for reintegration back into school and provide young people with opportunities to develop friendships.
The curriculum is designed to meet the specific academic, social, emotional and sensory needs of each individual child.
Through close partnerships with families, professionals and the wider community, Brookways ensure that all young people develop and thrive.
