SPECIALIST care and education provider Kedleston Group is celebrating the success of colleagues who have been named as finalists for no fewer than four prestigious national awards.
Three colleagues and a whole house team across the Group’s residential children’s services have been shortlisted for awards in the upcoming Children and Young People’s Awards. They are:
- Danny Blood, Dovedale House who has been shortlisted in the Support Worker of the Year Award
- The team at Dovedale House who are finalists in the Team Award
- Alex Jarvis of High Peak House Disley who is a finalist in the Support Worker of the Year Award category.
- Mark Morley of High Peak House Disley who has also been shortlisted as Support Worker of the Year.
The nominees will find out if they have been successful at a special ceremony being held on October 24th at the ICC in Birmingham.
Alongside their colleagues in care, there has been success for one of the Group’s specialist schools.
Arc Oakbridge School has been shortlisted in the National Association of Special Schools Awards (NASS) and is a finalist in the Innovation Award. The school has been nominated for its innovative podcast project which saw two young people develop, host, record and edit a whole-school podcast. The winner of this award will be announced at the NASS Conference on October 3rd.
