Who we are
Dovedale House Children’s Home is part of the Kedleston Group. The home is a safe and caring environment and is part of a family-focused community in Buxton, has five bedrooms, plenty of space to relax including a games room and a good-sized garden. Nearby there are all the amenities you would expect from a town including lots of outdoor and indoor recreational facilities, shops, restaurants, schools and colleges and more.
Dovedale House offers residential placements for children of a younger age with complex needs and also young people who are entering into young adulthood. We support children and young people with SEMH difficulties including Attachment disorders, Trauma, Mild to Moderate Autism, ADHD, ODD, Conduct disorder, eating Disorders, Anxiety disorders, sleep disorders, mood disorders, gender identity disorder, adjustment disorder and self-harm amongst other difficulties.
We support young people to achieve their full potential and to step down into foster care or safely return home and help prepare them for independent living and further education, training, or work.
Our staff team undertake specialist training so they can support children’s complex needs and mental health. The home works with a team of clinicians which includes a clinical psychologist, occupational therapist and a speech and language therapist.
