Outcomes
Curriculums are individually developed with the child or young person in mind to ensure they are to achieve success and gain the skills and qualifications needed for them to move on to the next phase of their life.
- All children and young people at our school have access to community activities which reflect their personal interest.
- All of the children and young people are learning independence skills to support them to move on.
- All of the children and young people have the opportunity to obtain college placements with local colleges such as West Notts College.
The pathway here at Wings School Notts is strengthened due to the additional residential provision which is supported by an experienced clinical team.
Careers – Thinking about the future?
Careers education at Wings School Notts is embedded across the curriculum for all year groups.
Our main aim is to prepare young people for the world of work through a range of opportunities, some that are statutory and others which are personalised. We endeavour to provide work experience, mentoring, interview days, employer insight visits and timetabled sessions. Higher education, apprenticeships and training schemes are further explored through talks, university visits and one-to-one interviews with an external careers advisor.
We want our young people to be able to make informed choices at key points in their educational journey.
Pupils have access to Unifrog, which is used to track their aspirations and identify opportunities that relate to their future. They complete work to improve their transferable skills, increasing their employability.
