All the staff and children at Wings School Notts took part in a 5k-sponsored walk to celebrate National Autism Acceptance Month. The walk took place at Clumber Park adventuring on a 5k route around the Lake, we ended the walk with a picnic and awarded the children with medals and certificates for their achievement. We then played sporting games before heading back to school.
Oak Class went to Rufford Abbey and took a shorter route for the Walk for Autism Awareness - whilst there they also completed the Easter Trail and were successful in finding not only the golden egg but also were able to crack the secret code hidden around the Trail. The beautiful spring day reminded us of the springtime song!
It’s a beautiful day in springtime,
It’s a whistle a tune and sing time,
It’s a breezy green grass and yellow dancing day !
It’s a wonderful feeling,
Blossom and buds in springtime,
It’s a change around all things new time,
It’s a happy, hoppy, healthy springtime day !
