Last Friday both children and staff at school sent out Kindness postcards to both other children and staff who are self-isolating at home.
The children in The Nest have enjoyed making an aquarium and also seeing how well their vegetables and plants are growing in the garden.
They have been lucky enough to be able to go back to Forest School this week and they have made some bird feeders and filled them up for all the birds to enjoy.
Monday was National Milk Day and the Class Dojo challenge was to find some interesting facts about milk.
Ruby T made some milk bread and found out 2 interesting facts: That the milk has to be at room temperature or else the yeast can become ineffective and that Milk bread lasts longer than normal bread.
Tueday's challenge was to make some binoculars - here was some great efforts, puffin fish binoculars made by Alisha.
Here is Thursday’s challenge, to write a poem.
Today's challenge is a simple one
Use your words to have some fun,
Write a poem, a rhyme or song
It doesn't have to be that long.
Choose a topic that makes you smile
Sit & think about it for a while,
Then jot down your idea
Let the words flow without fear.
When I saw today’s challenge I thought ‘what a treat’,
Writing poems is right up my street
Things that make me smile, my list will be long
Like singing along to my favourite song
Spending time with family and having some fun
Laughing with friends, sitting out in the sun
Watching football and my team scores a goal
Playing golf and getting the ball in the hole
Hearing from school that the children are doing so well
Teaching my dog to spin, he loves it I can tell
Virtual quizzes and FaceTiming too
So much makes me smile - what about you?
As we have had more students returning to school this week, we showed them on Class Dojo what to expect when they came into school. Lots of changes.
For those children returning this half term here's some photos of how the school looks little different.
We have social distancing markers around the school. This is just to help you all practise staying 2 metres apart.
When you arrive at school, you will need to have your temperature taken by either Ange, Tania or Beth.
We will be wearing PPE such as gloves and a mask.
Here is what Ange and Beth look like in their PPE.
PPE is Personal protective Equipment and in order to take your temperature we must be closer than 2 metres and so this is to help protect us and you.
