Outcomes
The school works successfully with children and young people who may have been reluctant learners, those who may have been out of school for a time or those have found it hard to engage in education. Staff support children to have a positive schooling experience and gain the self-confidence to continue in their learning.
At Arc School Napton we are currently rolling out the Thrive Approach. We have a lead practitioner and two building emotional health (BEH) practitioners on our team, who lead the rest of the staff team in using the Thrive approaches and interventions to allow our pupils to make the most of their learning opportunities, help them become more resilient, become more open to learning, and be able to thrive.
The Thrive approach changes the way situations are approached, the language used and gives our staff the tools to be able to progress children in individualised interventions to enable them to reach their full potential.
The program provides practical strategies that support our pupils’ social and emotional development for the long run, providing activities to reduce stress and focus on the wellbeing of pupils, staff and parents.
Careers
We are a primary school so do not have a specific careers programme, however we work collaboratively on ensuring our children and young people move onto the next best schooling opportunity when they leave Arc School Napton.
