Outcomes
The school works successfully with children and young people who may have been reluctant learners, those who may have been out of school for a time or those have found it hard to engage in education.
Staff support children and young people to gain a range of meaningful qualifications, have a positive schooling experience and gain the self-confidence to continue on to the next steps of their education, either in college, training or employment. If there is a subject or an interest shown by a particular young person pupil the school has the flexibility to provide an individualised learning programme.
In KS4 all our children and young people have the opportunity to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award which develops personal and social skills in challenging environments.
Careers
Children and young people in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 have access to an extensive careers programme, including discrete lessons and external careers guidance.
Children and young people in Year 11 are encouraged to attend careers fairs, and all work towards an independent living skill qualification, accredited by WJEC.
