In their core PE sessions at our Mill School Bury, the children have been playing Boccia and perfecting their skills for quite a few weeks.
Mrs Nicholson entered the class into a local Boccia competition, and they were selected to represent Mill School Bury in the finals. There were 16 schools at the competition with some really strong teams and experienced players. Mill School won the first game 8-2, lost the second game 5-4 and in the final game they drew 4-4. This led to a tense tie breaker match which was very close, but they unfortunately lost by 1 point meaning the other team qualified for the next round.
The children worked so hard together and even when they weren't playing, were supporting each other from the sidelines, cheering on. We are all are unbelievably proud of how well they did and how they all showed great sportsmanship when other teams won points.
