We work successfully with children and young people who may have been reluctant learners, those who may have been out of school for a time or those have found it hard to engage in education.
Experienced and caring staff support children and young people to gain a range of meaningful qualifications, have a positive schooling experience and gain the self-confidence to continue on their journey in to adult life.
We will help young people to develop meaningful friendships and relationships, something which may have been a struggle in the pasted for some young people.
Careers – Thinking about the future?
We will support your child/young person towards the best possible future pathway. We will work closely with you on your child`s hopes, dreams and aspirations.
Staff work with children and young people to help them become more independent and ensure they are ready for life after school.
They work to develop skills for everyday life including cooking, using transport, staying safe, money and time management and independent study skills. They also work closely with the young person’s family or carers and anyone else who supports them.
When ready, children and young people begin college and vocational courses while they are with us, to make it easier for them when they leave our school. We also work with the Career Connex service and have an in-house careers adviser to help students prepare for the future, some young people go on to working in the hospitality industry, joining the national service or working in care roles.
