Aaron started his career as a PE teacher and later was also Head of Year in a mainstream secondary school until 2010 when he went travelling around the world. In 2011 Aaron joined a Pupil referral Unit (PRU) in Surrey as a member of the senior leadership team and in 2012 formed his own satellite provision for students with low literacy and numeracy skills. In 2013 Aaron became Assistant Headteacher of the PRU and in 2014 the school was judged Outstanding in all areas. Over the next 3 years Aaron became an SLE (Specialist Lead in Education) and supported behaviour management and curriculum design in a number of PRUs, alternative provisions and mainstream schools in Surrey. In addition to this Aaron was also an Associate Headteacher at a PRU and led the work to move it from ‘Requires Improvement’ to being judged ‘Good’ by Ofsted.
Aaron relocated to the Midlands to take a Deputy Headship in a SEMH school in Leicestershire. In the year he was there, he helped the school regained a good judgement in the Independent School Standards. In his time at the school he relaunched the Curriculum, timetable and was Co-Interim Head for 3 months.
Aaron has a passion for Teaching and Learning and Curriculum Design and has a wealth of experience in driving schools to Outstanding.
