Central Referrals Manager

Salary £30,000 to £40,000 per annum depending on experience 

You will play a critical role across the Kedleston Group acting as the main point of contact for external stakeholders wishing to make direct, indirect, web based and framework referrals into our schools and care homes. You will manage and oversee all aspects of the referral process as well as identify and proactively market potential vacancies and voids through communication with local authorities to support business and growth plans.

You will advise and liaise with School Principals, Head Teachers, Registered Managers and members of the Senior Management Team on all strategic and operational matters relating to placements and referrals made to the Group, and you will hold responsibility for weekly occupancy forecast and reporting on the progress of referrals, occupancy and placements.

Working with site Business Development Managers and Referrals Managers you will regularly collate all information required to monitor referrals and placements from each site ensuring the referrals process is followed, promoting and nurturing positive relationships with and between internal and external stakeholders at all times.

You will support the team Assistant to manage all portals and frameworks for the Group and you will ensure the effective recording and analysis of admissions and referrals data for all sites, identifying and reporting on trends, strategic opportunities and risks. 

Working with the Group Marketing Manager , you will manage the CRM database to monitor, track and accurately record referrals as well as relationships across LA accounts.

You will help organise and present at termly Commercial meetings and will play a full part in the external communication and marketing function, working in partnership with the Strategic Partnerships Director and Marketing and Communication leads. 

The role is based at our offices in Hazel grove, Stockport, and you will also be required to travel on a regular basis to visit and meet with internal stakeholders at our schools and care homes across the organisation as well as external stakeholders as necessary.

Requirements

Educated to degree level or equivalent and with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar or related role, you will be an excellent communicator and team player, building strong working relationships with colleagues and external local authority contacts. Demonstrable project management skills are essential as well as an ability to maintain a calm approach whilst juggling multiple tasks in order to effectively prioritise your workload.  Strong presentation and report writing skills are also critical for this role. You may previously have worked in one of the following sectors - marketing, sales, charity, business, advertising, banking.

You will be able to demonstrate solid IT, administrative, team management and building skills as well as a good understanding of web based and social media communications.

You will demonstrate an awareness of and belief in the independent SEMH / ASC school sector and children's home market as well as an understanding of the issues regarding placements into schools and the relevance of those in a commercial and competitive environment. You will preferably have gained some experience working in the independent / SEMH education sector.
