Arc School Napton is an independent day school in Warwickshire registered for children between the ages of five to 11, years one to six, key stages one and two. Children come to Arc School Napton because it offers a specialist environment which benefits children whose educational needs cannot be met in mainstream environments.
The school supports pupils with a wide range of educational and social needs, the majority of which are associated with the challenges of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, attachment disorder, autism, dyslexia and dyspraxia. All of the pupils who attend the school all have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), sometimes still referred to as a Statement of Special Educational Needs (SSENs).
The admission procedure is child centred and takes whatever form is needed to help make the child comfortable. The staff team have worked successfully with children who are school phobic, introducing an outreach approach and a gradual introduction to the school community.
