Silverways were delighted to be nominated and shortlisted for the Renaissance Awards which took place this week in London. The award was for Wellbeing and Inclusion and recognised the school's amazing work building a therapeutic curriculum into the timetable including Drawing and Talking sessions (1-1 and group), Lego Therapy, Sensory Circuits, and social talking groups.
The children have really benefitted from these sessions, and they are making a real difference to the wellbeing of students across the school. Drawing and Talking practitioner Mary Downes and Teacher Development lead Nicola Churcher attended the ceremony to represent Silverways.
Sadly, there was no award this time, but it was great to see Silverways staff recognised by making the shortlist for the fantastic work they do to support student wellbeing and inclusion! While they didn't win, being shortlisted is still a wonderful achievement. We're so proud of the team and the caring environment they have built at Silverways.
