Table Tennis
The young people at High Peak have absolutely loved the new Table Tennis equipment they can access as part of enrichment time. Some stars seem to be emerging as fierce battles are had between the children and the staff! This new activity has had massive positive impact in building relationships, understanding turn taking and developing social communication skills. The young people even hope to engage in the local league post Covid.
Red Nose Day
Red Nose Day was a huge success at High Peak, with of the young people and members of staff opting to wear red to raise money for a good cause. The atmosphere at High Peak School was really special on the 19th, with many children showing great empathy for one another.
Bake sale for the NHS
One young person baked and sold cakes to raise money for the NHS. With his mother working for the NHS, the young person took it upon himself to do his bit to make a difference. High Peak School seemed to have an extra bit of happiness that day, which is fair to assume was caused by the delicious cake!
Great week High Peak!
