This is the latest photo from the Ansley Bee Club check last week. As you can see, the Bees have taken a fair amount of the fondant out of the packaging and will be storing this in their Brood Box for them to access in the winter months. Two kilo's of additional fondant was added to ensure the colony had access to a food source in the colder months ahead.
The Bees were maintaining a good central temperature (which could be felt in the Super holding the fondant) which means the colony is currently healthy and thriving.
